Die GEZ durfte demnach bei Adressenhändlern Daten ankaufen, um Schwarzseher aufzuspüren. Beispielsweise wurden Adressdaten von Fernsehzeitschriften-Abonnenten erworben und mit den GEZ-Gebührenzahlern verglichen. Wer nicht auftauchte, bekam Besuch.
